Level 1 — Fundamentals

Level 1 is designed for beginners and those looking to sharpen the basics. Students build core movements and fundamental self-defense skills from the official RGJJ 360 Curriculum, including distance management, escapes, takedowns, and positional control. The environment is friendly, supportive, and designed for anyone stepping onto the mats for the first time.

Level 2 — Advanced Application

Once fundamentals are solid, Level 2 introduces more advanced techniques, transitions, submissions, and live-application scenarios. Students test their skills through structured drills, situational sparring, and dynamic self-defense work that prepares them for real-life challenges.

What to Expect at Your First Class

New students start with a free trial class by appointment. Wear comfortable athletic clothing — no special equipment is needed for your first visit. Our coaches will guide you through warm-ups, basic techniques, and partner drills at your own pace. No experience necessary.

Do I need experience to start?
No. Our Level 1 classes are specifically designed for complete beginners. Many of our members had zero martial arts experience when they started.

What age can teens start?
Teens ages 13 and up train alongside adults in our RGJJ 360 program. Younger students (ages 5-12) should join our Jr Warriors program.

How often should I train?
We recommend 2-3 classes per week for consistent progress. Classes are held Monday through Thursday, with morning and evening options available.

Is jiu-jitsu safe?
Yes. Our structured curriculum emphasizes controlled technique and partner safety. Sparring is optional and always supervised.
